    Hi,
Recently,a friend gave me is hp pavillion dv5226ca(dv 5000 series)because he was buying a new one  .The hdd was dead,so I changed it and installed a clean copy of XP Pro.I have downloaded all the drivers that were avalaible on hp website for this product(at least, all that were working),and all the laptop features are working, except quickplay buttons and the included mini remote. :(
If I press one of the 2 quickplay buttons while XP running, nothing happen. If I press it while the computer is off, then the laptop power on but loads XP normally instead of quickplay interface.Remote control doesn't work independently of the buttons pressed and power state.
In device manager, all the devices are working and installed properly.
What do I need to do to get those buttons and the remote to work, knowing I don't have anything else than the laptop and the charger?

    Thanks in advance! ;)

Thank you for this link,I'll check it tommorow and will keep you posted.
It looks pretty complicated, why HP doesn't just put a .exe on is drivers site?
    Anyway,I'll try! :p
    Have a nice day.
