    HP Pavillion ZE5354EA-Hard Drive

    Wondering if anyone out there would be able to recommend a hard drive replacement, as my original drive seems to slowly dying on me, would love to upgrade but a new pc but still think theres a bit of life in the old girl. Also if i get a new hard drive can i use the HP Oem XP install discs or would i need to get a new copy. Thanks in advanced Nicholas

    you can use the HP disks. that ze series is a few years old so you would probably be looking an an IDE HDD. I have heard that either Samsung or Toshiba, I can't remember which, has a pretty good single platter IDE drive that people have been saying good things about.

    The Hitachi 7k100 drives are decent IDE drives. Yes you can still use the same copy of XP as you notebook is still entitled to the license (sticker on the bottom).
