i was convinced to buy this laptop HP Pavillion dv 9595ea Enterainment Notebook which cost over £1100 but i am not that impressed, Can anyone tell me the best way to improve the performance of this laptop

    - will increasing the memory to 4gb make any difference ?

    - is vista just slow and restrict its operation and would xp be better ?

    - The gaming facility is not a good as the write ups say even though it has a 256mb graphics card, i run soldier of fortune and microsoft simulator and is very slow. is this mainly a memeory problem ?

    - How else can i improve its performance?

    - what expansions can i put on the system to improve it

    - will increasing the memory to 4gb make any difference, most probably

    - is vista just slow and restrict its operation and would xp be better, wouldn't be noticeable if there was any improvement.

    - How else can i improve its performance, upgrading the CPU to a 45 nanometer architecture which are generally a faster processor than you got now, this will help a LITTLE because it will run cooler and faster or most models are released with more than one GPU, you could find out if your model was and replace the motherboard for one with the best GPU for your model (wouldn't be cheap).

    - what expansions can i put on the system to improve it, you could see if your model came out with Turbocache, if so see if you could upgrade, help a little.

In short you're pretty much stuck with what you bought, if you're that unhappy sell it, wear the lost and upgrade to a laptop with a faster GPU.
