    Hello everyone,

I have a custom built HP Pavillion dv2500 notebook with integrated Bluetooth Module. I'm trying to connect it to Sony Hi-Fi stereo system that is bluetooth enabled.
I'm able to pair them up, but not connect. I'm getting a message on the Sony side which pretty much means that the bluetooth on my HP laptop doesn't support one of the 2 audio profiles Sony supports (A2DP or AVRCP). I find it very bizarre. Another requirement is that my laptop bluetooth module must have version 2.0.
I contacted HP support 3 times already and they cannot tell me which version my bluetooth device has or whether or not it supports those 2 audio profiles. I'm starting to have a feeling this may have something to do with Vista (I have Vista Home Premium installed). But I'm not sure where else I can turn for help.
Anyone has any idea what's going on or how to at least find the information I'm looking for so I can call Sony tech support? I just know in advance what they're going to say if I have no proof this integrated bluetooth module in my laptop and their bluetooth are compatible.

    TIA,

    -Tony.

How about AVRCP? This should actually be enough.

    Thanks.
