I was wondering when the dv4t will be available in Canada?

I'm a Canadian who hates my country and I really hate people who vote.

    Thanks.

Seriously, am I the only one who feels that Canadians get the shaft and Canadians tolerate it?

There are so many brands out there and so many that aren't available in Canada. I've read of people recommending a certain brand and model and then when you look it up, it's only available in the U.S. or it's way more expensive in Canada.

Why do Canadians tolerate this crap?

Oh yeah, I hope someone can answer the on-topic question because I've googled/searched and can't find any mention.

I doubt they'll have it any time soon. I think they'll try to get rid a good portion of the dv2000s series before dv4t is rolled out here in Canada.

Things are more expensive here especially for electronics and computers, as well as cars/parts, dont even think about talking mobile phones. The reason I don't know, solution cross-border shopping ;)

just take a look at the dv5t's in Canada, I doubt we'll get a decent config from HP before October.

The reason why things are more expensive are two things: One, taxes, two the dollar. Companies where willing gouging Canadians to make a better profit, and even though the dollar is dropping like a stone this week, things are still overpriced.

Yep, I sure agree with that.

I just wanted a notebook that had a combo of specs which I feel ought to be on any notebook or at least one of the brands should offer such specs as an option:

    LED Display screen
    HDMI or DisplayPort
Centrino 2 Montevina (next gen. of Intel Core 2 Duo mobile chips isn't it?)

Is that too much to ask for? I guess it is in Canada. Then when it does come out 'officially', it'll be overpriced compared to prices in the U.S.
