The HP in my sig has a capacitive touch volume-control strip with capacitive touch wifi control to the right and mute control to the left.

When functioning properly, sliding your finger along the strip controls volume and touching the wifi and mute controls turns those functions off and on, with the control icons lighting orange for "off" and blue for "on."

Recently, all of the capacitive touch controls have stopped functioning, although they are all still lit. The wifi and mute controls are orange, even though the wifi and volume are turned on.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Are the capacitive controls listed somewhere in device manager?

I'm going to wing-it on this one...not sure if this will help. With the laptop off remove the battery, unplug the power cord, and hold power button in for a period of time, like half a minute. This fixed an issue on my DV9774ca. The mute button turned pink, yes pink, somewhere stuck with the orange and blue on together??, and the volume didn't work anymore, neither did the mute. The wi-fi was not affected at all. I did the removal of battery and held the power button to drain any remaining power and it fixed mine a year ago.
