Trying to decide between these two laptops. I would like to use it for moderate game, editing photos and videos, and have a good amount of hard drive space. I have lean towards HP in the past, but Asus laptops seem pretty decent as well. Any ideas?

I just returned an Asus 15" laptop which had USB 3 and HDMI out. It was under $300 and I was fairly impressed! However, the mousepad was unbearable since the buttons were part of the touchpad and it had Elan drivers which were terrible. Too many factors involved in laptops to help much more than that.
