    Hi there,
i have a month old HP Pavillion dv9000 and i am experiencing a completely distorted display just after i input my password on start up. It doesn't always happen....and it only happens when i switch on the laptop for the first time after a night of rest. When this happens, i have to force shut down and switch on again (it never happens again the second time) since the display is completely messed up and nothing is recognizable.
I went to the shop where i purchased the computer and was told that it might be a software problem and that i should try re-installing windows vista by pressing F11 on start-up. I did so to no success...

    can anyone help?
    Many thanks
    Kristian

actually, boot into windows and create the recovery discs
in the search bar, type recovery disc creation, click the "recovery disc creation" program and follow the prompts, then use them to reinstall windows
