:hp: My laptop is a year and 8 months old. The battery seems to be discharging way faster than it did before. I think originally I could go 2+ hours on it and now it seems to go down in about 80 minutes. Basically it goes down a percent or more per minute. I usually use the plug, and I hardly ever go on battery. BUt lately starting with a plane trip I took, thats what I have been noticing.
My fan seems to be louder than before too. I barely notice it, but somebody did at work once. I play games only sometimes on my laptop since its more powerful than my desktop PC. Whats the best product out there for keeping a laptop cool?

You're gonna need a new battery for the unit. Once the battery doesn't hold it's charge, that's what needs to get done. To keep the unit cool, you can run a use a notebook cooling pad. It's generally a small pad that has fans in it and blows on the underside of your notebook. It runs off USB, but that that kinda defeats the purpose since you're already having battery runtime problems. P4's are known to run hot and are not expected to run long on batteries.
