I was about to buy the l2000 when I saw a review on Amazon regarding an issue w/ the power connection on HP laptops.

Anyone have any feedback on this?...

I saw Brianstretch's suggestion of using the expansion slot to receive power to bypass this connection...

Anyone have success w/ this solution?

    Thx,
    Wilbur

From reading the Amazon L2000 page, he's referring to older model HP notebooks. I haven't read about any power connector problems on current-generation HPs such as the L2000 and zv6000. AFAIK the issue has long since been fixed.

Brian's suggestion was a workaround for a broken AC power connection on they motherboard. Since the L2000 is a new unit, if this pronlem did exist, you could just send the unit in for service and everything will be resolved.
