I've been waiting on a decent size discount or coupon to upgrade to a DV6T or a HDX 16. I'm also waiting for the DV6T configuration options to expand a bit. I was figuring the mid to end of this month would be a good time to purchase given it's the end of HP's fiscal quarter and year.

Now that it is becoming more and more clear that MS will be introducing Windows 7 later this year does anyone think HP will need to discount more? Windows 7 seems to be getting really good press and one source said that MS will be announcing shortly that if you buy a computer preloaded with Vista Premium (or better) on or after July 1 you will get an opportunity to upgrade to 7 for little $'s.

Since I am looking to upgrade I am not in a rush to buy...unless HP really starts to discount from their recently raised prices. Any one else out there holding back because of this? Any one else think HP and others will need to offer big discounts as the year progresses to get folks to quite waiting for 7 and buy now? Thanks.
