A few weeks ago I decided to do away with the original Vista Premium that was preinstalled on my dv6000z and decided to create an XP/Vista dual boot system, since a lot of my stuff has compatibility issues with Vista. I found all of the drivers (except for PowerMizer in XP) and everything seemed to be working great. I then proceeded to install Far Cry (and other games) and noticed that I could not change the volume with the QP strip while in the game, but it works while i'm back on the desktop. This happens in both XP/Vista and it never happened with the original Vista partition that came with the computer (which is btw is permanently gone now since I couldn't burn restore discs). Is there a fix to this? I have the QLB driver installed from HP but I want to be able to change the volume level anytime I want, like I used to be able to do. Any help would be appreciated.

You might need to reinstall the QuickPlay software if you don't have that already installed. It's a software thing most likely, not drivers.
