    Hey guys,
I have an HP Pavilion dv2410. I was wondering how to get the quickplay buttons working for iTunes.
They work for it as long as the iTunes window is up, but if the window is minimized, all you can do is adjust the volume, not pause or skip or anything. However, for windows media, you can pause or skip a song even if windows media player is minimized.
Is there any way to do this with iTunes?
I have the latest iTunes version, 7.4 I believe, and I just got my laptop a week ago, so I think the drivers are up to date as well.
I did HP update, and it didn't download any drivers for Quickplay.
    please please PLEASE help!
    Thanks!

ive read a few people raising issues with Qplay buttons and iTunes.. Turns out only the previous versions of iTunes work with the buttons. The latest version seem to disable it. Im pretty sure there was a fix.

Search and browse around the forums. Its here somewhere...

    Hey,
I looked around a bit, I didn't really find anything that worked.
I tried the keyboardcompaibilty.dll thing fix, but that didn't work.
Then I decided just to install an older version of iTunes, but it wouldn't let me, it kept saying something about how it couldn't initialize library.itl because it was created by a newer version, or something like that.
At the very least, any ideas how I can install an older version of iTunes on my computer?
(ps - if you know a good thread that has a fix for it, could you paste the link for me please? thanks!)

This partially has to do with the post:

Has anyone successfully installed Quickplay where you can boot into Quickplay from the touch button on their laptop? I have a DV9500t with Vista Ultimate 64-bit and I tried to follow the instructions on HP's website for Quickplay, but it doesn't work for me. If anyone has done it can you please post your steps.

    Thanks in advance!
