I'm trying to get Quickplay to work on a new 2500. I put a DVD in, shut off the machine, and select "DVD" on the keyboard. Instead of playing the DVD, the system boots up to Windows. Why is that? I thought the DVD would play.

What is the difference between Quickplay and Quickplay Manager in the start menu?

I assume some of the hard drive space is being used for Quickplay. Is it hidden, or using the recovery partition?

HP went another way these days... They have made QuickPlay not that QUICK anymore. It's a pity, but that function has been disabled by HP. But you can try to resurrect it. There are threads here about it.

We're all supposed to feel fortunate that QuickPlay works at all in Vista.
