The UK store has an omen 15 available with 2060 and 2070 max q. I’m personally waiting for the 17” to become available.

It looks like a shrunk 17x. If the pricing on the US side is similar (1800ish) for the 15 with a 2060 I'll pass. Too many competitors offer the same thing in a thinner and lighter package with a bit better specs for the same price.

What other model, from the competition, has a 70wh battery?

I wonder if they have improved the cooling compared to versions with 8300h/8750h and 10 series cards?

The RTX Omen 15 is literally the same Omen 15 we've had for awhile, with a different GPU soldered on. They really haven't been able to do much with that 70wh battery as it usually comes in the middle of the pack vs others with smaller or similar size batteries. I was hoping for at least a refresh of the chassis.

They could have at least used the keyboard from the Omen X 17, that would have been a huge selling point. This keyboard is amazing.

Asus has the new Strix out with a 66wh battery with the same specs for the same price or a few bucks less unless you opt for the 8gb 60hz model Omen.

The Alien m15 offers a 90wh battery as an option for $50, and would probably be the option I'd go with at this pricepoint. Alien is also lighter and thinner.

It's everything you would expect from such a beast.
One thing I do NOT like about it, and it's that the IGP is disabled. I read reviews of the previous model with 1070maxq and it also had the IGP disabled, so I guess that's that and I need to get used to it.

Latest bios just enabled Gsync which is nice to be honest as it was an option not advertised.

Temps wise, the cpu is utter ****, quickly ramping up to 100degrees :) , the gpu doesn't go past 70-75 though; I do keep the cpu limited to 3.6@6cores via TS to keep the temps in their 90s while gaming (eg: BF5 2h gaming session with High settings + rtx+dlss high 80-90fps).
