The HP Registration reminder keeps popping up every five minutes or so reminding me I need to register. I have clicked on all the options available: register me; remind me later; don't ask me again. Yet it keeps coming back again and again. How can I disable this thing? Thank you.

I fixed that pretty quickly by uninstalling the HP Total Care junk. I really did not like it loading at startup because it made the laptop so sloooooow. And I had no use for the battery status center stuff, thats what the Windows system tray icon is for.

If you are using vista, then try the following

    1) Start --> search for "task scheduler" and open that
    2) Open the task scheduler library on the left hand side of the window and search for the HP registration task (or something close to it). It should have a trigger like "every 15 minutes once triggered" or something equally annoying. Then, once you find it, just delete it and the problem will go away.
    3) Also take your time there and figure out if there are any other annoying HP reminders in there and delete them if you want.

    Hope this helps.

Im sorry to bring this old thread up again, but i have exactly the same problem, only with me its every half hour.

Is it somehow possible to disable the reminder?

Darn, sorry. When i searched in google, the link only brought up the first post, so i did'nt see that the question already was answered.

    Again, sorry.
