Picked one of these up. I installed a ssd right off the bat. Huge difference in performance. Screen i very nice. Gamed for 30 minutes last night and gpu temp never went over 52C. Playing Rise of tomb raider. Playing on medium settings with good results. High bogs it down too much. Need to get a hdd caddy so i can get rid of the dvd and get some decent storeage. I am not into Star wars but needed a low power gaming machine for a upcoming vacation and this will fit the bill. Machine is a lot thinner and lighter than my old Eurocom Racer with simular performance,, but at a fraction of the size weight and power use. I will be reporting back with new details. There is a decent tutorial at hp website to replace the hdd. Only thing it wasnt clear about were the 2 tiny screws holding the bottom cover right above the dvd drive. You need to remove the drive to access the screws. Also 2 hidden screws on the bottom under little glue on covers. I used the tip of a razer blade to pop them off.

I found the proper service manual at hp by typing in my exact model number and searching. It shows all the hidden screws a lot better so you should find it before taking it apart so nothing gets broken or damaged.
