    Hello.

I've decided I want to order a dv2000t from HP direct but I was wondering if you all could share your experiences with how long this really takes. I am guessing that since HP is estimating it will take 2 weeks to build that another week should suffice for shipping (free shipping). This would be a total of 3 weeks from date of order. Does this sound right?

The reason why I am asking is that I need to time my order so I have a machine over Christmas but have enough time to return it if I get a bad screen.

    Thanks for your help.

    Richard

I custom ordered from from HP direct as well, and got it in about 10 days.
But mine was with the Core Duo. If you ordered it with the Core 2 Duo or other parts that are low in stock, it may take a little longer.

The estimated date on HP's website means nothing. Don't let meaningless date blind your eyes.
Here is my experience: I ordered my dv6000t at HP online shop on Oct 31, and the estimated ship date was Nov 16; however, I surprisingly received an email saying that my baby has been collected by Fedex this morning(Nov 6). So far, I am very satisfied with the job HP did, and then let's see how fast Fedex could be on the following stage...

    Fast Delivery!
I ordered a DV2000Z on 10-27, with a build date of 11-06. It was actually delivered this morning (11-06). I had selected the standard 5-7 day ground delivery, but HP shipped mine on a 2-day delivery basis. Nice service.
