    I am looking to buy a Compaq R3240US. It is listed on the HP Shopping Website at $1529, less $30 for rebate. What other discounts are available? I see some info about $100 rebates and discounts. How do I find those on the website? How do they ship? Overnight possible? I can avoid sales tax if I order through them.

    You may want to try configuring the system yourself on their site. I think another user tried this and came up $200 cheaper going this route before discounts/rebates.
    Regarding ship times, if the notebook is a pre-built unit and not a CTO system, then I believe the quickest is 2 days. If you go the CTO (config-to-order) the system, it will take a lot longer and next day shipping will not be possible.
    You might be able to find the additional rebates/discounts on Tech Deals section on this site (maybe). I think they're a code that you enter when ordering.

    Just to let you know, the $100 online coupon apparently stopped working on compaq notebooks according to x1000forums.com . You'd have to get a zx5000 (hp version of the compaq 3000z) to get the online coupon.
