    Hi All,

    Brand new laptop from HP and they've screwed it up. The machine was bought with Windows 8 but came with no OS installed. I've installed an OS but every time the machine boots I get a message on a black screen saying;

    "manufacturing programming mode is set to unlocked"

    Anyone know what this is? I've posted on the HP website and go no response so thought you guys might know more. It feels like the BIOS is still is some sort of weird configuration mode..... I've tried updating the BIOS to the latest version using the HP BIOS update tools but still get this message. Any help appreciated.

    Anyone got any ideas about this? Anyone seen this option in their BIOS or know how to change it?

    Happy to take a dump of the BIOS if someone wants to take a look??
