On the front page of HP.com it shows a new Spectre... The HP Spectre XT... My guess is ivy Bridge refresh.. You can't buy yet, but they're for reserve.. Or so they say.. The link is dead.. (Link btw: http://www.hp.com/united-states/campaigns/envy14-spectre/xt-overview.html)

Also, above is the showing of the new spectre on their front page.. Says it's metal... So, swapping out the gorilla glass.. Any thoughts, speculations, ideas? Discuss.

Edit: Looks like I was behind on the times... And all this stuff was already covered (And I was wrong :p)... Interesting to see how this all plays out!

The 14 just launched 2-3 months ago. Why would they phase it out this quickly? Or are you just speculating?

As a spectre 14 glass owner I'm happy to hear I still have a unique and top line laptop. If I wanted an air I would just buy one.

it should probably be phased out when the xt model hits the shelves, much like every product in the envy line, granted that the envy 15 had a gen1 and a gen 2 before it was phased out for the envy 14 (terrible mistake, but it sold like the 15 never did), and it happened the same way when the 15 hit shelves again.

basically its speculation based on what they did previously, envy lines have short life.
