Hi i have a HP TC1100 running 900-MHz Mobile Intel Celeron M processor with 512-KB

I want to upgrade the cpu and i have just bought one from ebay my question is

Will it fit and work and is there anything else i need to do to the laptop or is it just a cpu swap?

Im thinking maybe bios update as my startup screen shows celeron m icon

Here is the link to the one i bought

Unfortunately, looking at the service manual for the tc1100, it looks like the cpu is soldered to the motherboard which means upgrading the cpu is pretty much impossible. Your only option would be to buy a motherboard with the desired cpu and then drop it in. Also, Pentium 3 M is the wrong choice. It looks like it uses the newer Pentium M/ Celeron M cpu's not P3's.

Oh **** i thought the cpu was in a socket not soldered in if it is soldered in then im out of look its no big deal though as it still works fast and without problems
