I think it's ok. Mine gets really warm but it's not a bad thing.

Mine does too. I have read that some of the USB type ones have the same issue. At least with USB ones, they are outside of the chassis so they don't heat up the whole PC.

BTW, if you haven't tried the QuickPlay for your TV viewing, give it a try. Another person advised me of this and I found it shows/gets much better reception than using media center.

Here's a possible solution for your tv tuner heating problems.

Thermaltake Mobile Fan II External USB Cooling Fan -

Amazon has this product for $10.00. When I do heavy duty malware cleaning, etc. on customer's lappys, I set the laptop on .75 by .75 by 12 inch sticks, and have this blow in from the back. They only run when the computer is up. Variable speed too. Neat.

Pick up several, you won't be disappointed. Some folks use them to blow a gentle breeze on their face or keyboards – in a warm office.

Here's a link, I don't know if this site allows such things.

Mine gets pretty hot as well, but a little note that came with the notebook did say that this is normal. So no worries.

Last night was the first time I used my card for over an hour straight without interruption. It was scorching hot when I pulled it out. I mean really hot. Like the temperature of a fork when you pull it out of the dishwasher before the dishwasher has finished its cycle. That can't be good for the card's long-term health or things located near the ExpressSlot in the laptop. The card does cool down pretty quickly when it is removed from the slot.

Mine gets hot as well, no problems yet, I have recorded tv for 4 hours in a row without issue. I have the thermaltake fan too, it is nice, good all around laptop cooler when used with laptop stand.
