My girlfriends parents had this laptop and didn't use it anymore and its a perfectly fine laptop besides the fact that the keyboard doesn't work. I have found a guide to replace the keyboard and the keyboard is not really that expensive so it wouldn't be a problem. The concern I have is the volume buttons on the top left of the keyboard do not function either. I am able to control them via a laptop dock the laptop came with. My question is could the problem just be the connect and would that effect the volume keys and the keyboard? If I replace the keyboard will the volume keys still be non functional. If I didn't include any helpful information feel free to ask.
