ok so basically, the gpu problems affecting anything with Nvidia gpu's hapened to my TX2000 laptop. I recently fixed it and got it up and running again but wrapping it in a towel, using a blow dryer and reheating it.

ok now the problem is that the wireless which was working perfectly fine after i did the reheat trick, decided to crap out again and now i can't even turn it on to get a signal. everything else still works fine, it turns on, i can do everything else on the laptop but go onto the internet. i've took it apart again, rechecked the wireless adapter, made sure none of the connectors came out or anything and can't figure it out.

anybody have any ideas or think they can figure it out cause i sure can't :( thanks in advance for any help given.

Your system needs more heat, either from a proper heat gun or do the oven trick for the motherboard.

so you're thinking maybe some of the solder points on the gpu didn't melt enough or mabe cracked again??? cause i use a really high heat blow dryer, honestly i melted the keyboard a little bit  because it got that hot. at $10 for a brand new one, it wasn't a big deal.

is there anny other possibilities that could be the problem as to why everything works but the wireless adapter?? i checked the connections, everything's fine, and it was working but then just stopped :(

The magic trick is to remove motherboard from the computer before heating it... That's a free hint before you are going to do the oven trick ;)

    thanks, i'll check that out
lol umm yah, i figured that was probably the case. i already took the mother board out, then put it back in, did the towel wrapping overheat trick and it worked perfectly for a few days. now just the wifi isn't working so i was simply wondering if someone else has had this problem and can pinpoint exactly what is the cause

Cause is bad material like with all the other problems. The heat trick you did was not even enough, not all parts of motherboard were heated enough.

My F572 has the wireless issue too. The towel method worked sort of, but the wireless doesn't work all the time. It isn't really worth replacing the mobo imo, since a $5 usb wireless dongle would do the same thing

yeah the towel trick actually made it work again perfectly for a few days, and for some reason everything else still works, just the wireless crapped out.

so you're saying there's something i can actually buy to use as a wireless adapter bypassing the wifi card inside the laptop!?!?!?

I just use one of those usb wireless things i have sitting around. As long as your usb ports still work(while the built in wireless doesn't) it should be fine

    Amen :)

I bought a faulty TX1000 with the same problems. After hours of research, I found the only solution is a new motherboard or a USB wireless card. This is weird, but I flashed it with the bios of a like model and the wireless worked! For 1 reboot, then crapped out.

Sadly enough I reached the same spot with my F572, but now its gotten worse. It looks like my only option is to replace the mobo or do a diy reflow. In the end its probably better to just let it sit, but I'd really like to get it running again.

i had tried that, for some reason now my mouse pad doesn't work either now. this thing is driving me crazy and i'm gonna toss it i think. maybe just part it out, i really wanted to fix it but so far haven't been getting any good answers as to what's a good fix for it.

The only truly viable fix is a new motherboard.
