Gone up in flames, so to speak...

Looks like Voodoo is simply going to be 'DNA' for HP computers and laptops, as in the Blackbird, is my bet. I actually like that idea, too.

(Then again, it could just be a re-launch of the Voodoo line.)

    What the...is that a joke?

As long as HP actually comes out with a good line of gaming laptops, that is fine. VooDoo wasn't exactly a widespread brand, which is probably want HP wants.

    It's not a joke, it's just a marketing campaign.

I'll give 'em credit. That's pretty cool.

Just make a 24" All-in-one PC with good mobile graphics (3870 x2), VGA and HDMI out, costing around $2300 and it's all good. That would be "beautiful."

I agree! Too though that they would probably charge more around $4,000 or more for that config. Their Voodoo line has always been overpriced, but in my opinion, every gaming computer that is prebuilt is overpriced. While I was in college I even wrote a report about building your own desktop gaming pc versus buying a prebuilt one and the price difference is ridiculous.

All true. Just... hoping that if they want to go head to head with iMAC, that they'll not only be feature competitive but also price competitive.

Those CLEVO rebranded price premiums were outrageous. Perhaps they'll stop rebranding CLEVOs and begin an HP/Voodoo synergy. Also, it would be nice if they wouldn't concentrate on gaming alone.

June 10 is either going to bring elation, I hope, or disappointment, I fear. (Apathy not included.)

Like I said in the post, it could be a tease of the "demise" of the old Voodoo, and the launch of an entirely new Voodoo line-up, which they haven't ever really done.
