HP Total Care Advisor says I needed to update my QuickPlay, so I downloaded and successfully installed the latest version from here (per HP chat)
http://download.cyberlink.com/ftpdload/patch/hp_nb/upgrade/HQP070626-03/QuickPlay.exe
However, HP TCA still says I need to update it. I've also downloaded and installed the latest version of these apps
- HP Help & Support update
- HP Active Support Library
- HP Software Update
from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareList?os=2093&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3548477&lang=en
Any other advise, other than ignoring HP TCA?
-
I just totally disabled the TCA. Slows down computer, very much. Dones't care, doesn't advise.

I am having the same issue, I am at wits end. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Quickplay and Quicktime. Everytime I get an error that I don't have Quickplay version %s.
All I know is that it is driving me nuts. My latest attempt is to download quickplay from this website :
http://www.cyberlink.com/cinema/hp/quickplay/2_3/hp/enu/item3.jsp
I found it on a thread on a different forum. I am leary that it will work due to the size of similar files that haven't worked either.
Hopefully someone reading this can help us.

HP support told me to ignor the message my F572US didn't come configured for Quickplay?
-
i have that same thing when i try to update the quickplay it gives me a message that i don't have Quickplay version %s. it says my health check is poor when you go to check on updates and is there a way to get rid of that update?
-
HP Total Care Advisor hogs up resources and is a waste. I would recommend to all of you, if you don't plan on doing a fresh install to get rid of bloatware, that you at least uninstall all of HP's utilities (after you created the recovery disks of course), then run a registry cleaner over your computer. This isn't as good as a clean install, but it's the next best thing.
The only thing that HP's utilities are good for is keeping you aware of updates, even though HP is so far behind actual driver and software updates (you can find them on your own faster than HP will provide them). You can go to HP's website and look at the updates yourself as well, and go to the manufacturer's websites for updates to drivers and software. I guess I find it useless because I've always built my own computers and manually found, downloaded, and installed updates all the time, which isn't hard by the way, it just takes up a little of your time. -

i had the same problem. to get rid of it just manually update using quickplay. the update is the arrow that goes clockwise i think. u will have to update at least 2 times to remove it.
-
Not that I'm aware of you just got to ignore it I get the same error message and it bugs me to when it says my machine has poor performance rating.
-
I just ignore it; as a matter of fact I don't run HP TCA anymore.
-
In order for me to get rid of the message, I did as netkiller, it's better than the update from HP.
-
Had the same problem on a brand new machine, almost drove me crazy. The solution is actually quite simple:
1) launch Quickplay and update using the clockwise arrow. About a 200 meg file to put the current version on the machine, but it downloads pretty quickly.
2) Once you have the current version, you can run the update as advised by the TCA and it will work fine.
I feel much better now... -
it just now finally installed for me i bet you i have installed it 15-20 times before it would. i had to go into quickplay to the update area it wouldnt do it for me on the health check box. it will eventually work just be patient!

Oddly enough, the main TCA window shows I needed to update it, but when try to, and TCA does a health check, all is green. Also, I enabled my Administration account, and its TCA shows all green.
HP Total Care Advisor does NOT recognize QuickPlay update
