    Hey!

I just purchased a DV2533TX notebook, I think the American version is the
DV2500T but the one wif all the extras....

I have run the HP Update tool and it says all drivers and software is up to date. So I ran Windows Vista update and it comes up with optional drivers for the sound, wireless etc

I went on the HP website installed some of the drivers, however some of the ones on windows vista update are still newer than the HP site!

Im not sure which drivers on the HP site are new drivers, old drivers or ones which I already have installed on the notebook.

So whats the deal with updating the drivers? just install all drivers from the HP site?

    Any help would be gr8

I think your laptop should be fine. If the computer's performance is up to scratch and it is that new, it seems hardly necessary to take shots in the dark with drivers.

You should just install the ones that are upto date and match your hardware

Dont update the driver unless the device is working incorrectly or some functions arent working.

If it works fine, leave it as it is. Some latest drivers seem to cause more issues than fixes.

Other than the video card drivers, i wouldnt update anything else unless there is issues with it. Always read what the latest drivers fixes or patches for (if possible)

I am not sure if you still want to download those new drivers. If you do, I will suggest you to download those drivers from HP site. I have HP DV2550SE. I downloaded the Video card driver from Vista update. It is newer than what lists on HP site. After I installed it, my Aero score went up to 3.5 from 3.4. I found that my screen saver ( I set pictures slide show as my screen saver) had two new styles of display. They looked cooler. But I also found my webcame couldn't work anymore. I had to install the driver from HP again. Then aero score came back 3.4 but my webcam works again.
