So, I'm planning on picking up one of the Wireless audio things for my HP Envy 17 (3k), do any of you guys have one? Use it? How's the quality and streaming speed?

Do you mean a WiDi audio adapter? I don't think any are on the market yet, are they? I remember seeing an announcement from Logitech at CES, but I've only seen their Bluetooth adapter out. I went ahead and ordered the BT adapter, since it will also work with my smartphone, but I expect the quality from the WiDi unit to be better.

I'm meaning the KleerNet adapter that's in the HP Envy 15 and 17.. The one that goes with this product: HP Wireless Audio

My main concern is the fact that the HP one sends uncompressed audio. I LOVE that, If the Logitech one provides that, I might be more swayed that way.

@kenoka: The Logitech WiDi adapter was discontinued. The news you posted is from Jan. 2011. So far only the similar bluetooth adapter was actually released (tested it, it's doing the job for compressed audio but don't expect perfect quality on a HiFi system). Don't know if they ever gonna release a WiDi one, maybe when the market's ready for it.

I'm interested as well for reviews regarding the HP wireless audio receiver. I'm waiting for it but although it was announced to be released during February, it's still not available here in France, even through HP store...
