    HP Wireless assistant doesnt work

    I have reinstall it many times but the splash doesnt appear whenever I press the wifi button,help please

    Right-click the Wireless Assistant icon in the system tray. Go to Open HP Wireless Assistant. Click Properties. Check "Status Messages" and "Independent controls". It should work now.

    I believe there were problems before in other computers as well so I just uninstalled it. Why do you need it anyway?

    Do you have HPWAMain.exe running? @ shriek11, i uninstalled it at first too, but it's useful to separate BT from WLAN. I mostly use bluetooth which uses much less power, so why should i keep WLAN enabled as well? It saves some battery life.

    Oh yeah my laptop doesn't have a bluetooth in it. I am surprised HP doesn't have a built in option through an function key like Asus and Lenovo does.

    Code:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Hewlett-Packard\HP Wireless Assistant
    and run HPWAMain.exe. Does HP Wireless Assistant start now?

    It starts for 2 seconds then automatically close in task manager ]:,something stops it

    In that case it isn't properly installed.
