    HP X16-96072 Screen issue

    I am posting this for a friend.

    He just turned his laptop on and the screen looks totally messed up. Here are some pics:

    The GPU is dead. This is a common issue with the Envy range of HP's.

    Get it reballed by a computer technician, or buy another motherboard off ebay for it.

    Try external monitor.
    If you move the screen, does image change? If that happens, then it's very likely just the LCD Cable gone bad.
