    Hi,
I have pavilion dv9040us (with Win Media Center) with express card tv tuner mentioned in the post subject. Recently I use my laptop in europe and when I set signal from my cable provider I get only video. There is no sound or just noise. I've heard that it's because of different tv singal systems (is it true??). I mean the card is supposed to work in PAL D/K and here I have PAL G/B (or opposite). Do you know if it's possible to change the system using software ?? (drivers or whatever)

    regards

    mW

I just purchased an ec680 tv card for my pavilion laptop like yours. However, I am as yet unable to connect to my cable tv. Am I missing something. Everything seems to have installed correctly. I have attached the RF dongle to the cable but no signal is detected by the card. Do I need an antenna to plug into the card? None came with the kit.
hope you or someone else can help.
