I still don't know which of this two is the best for multimedia applications such as Premiere, Photoshop, 3D Max, Director, and Flash. According to Dell, the M60 is a mobile workstation and the best for 3d and 2D applications but I'm a bit unsure about the processor power (Pentium M 1.7) which they say its as fast as a P4 at 3 Ghz. I like the video which is a Quadro 1000go and the fast HD at 7200. On the other hand, the HP has also some nice features, like the P4 at 3.2 Extreme Edition and the big screen but lower resolution than the DELL. HP has a slower HD which makes the computer not as fast as it could be, also, the Graphics is not as good as the DELL (NVIDIA 5600go). I've heard that HP costumer service sucks and that Dell's is one of the best. What do you guys think would have better performance and be the best for these applications? I don't really care about mobily because I don't travel much, my main concer is power. Thanks

HP offers the exact same vid card as the dell the Nvidia 5600go in both 64mb, 128mb along with the option to upgrade the hard drive to 5400 rpm. Price might be the difference but other that you can get all that you listed and more on the zd7000 if you've got the cash. If you get it soon HP has 100 mail in rebate, 10% off coupon, code: PC2039 and if your a student you can get another x% off.
Hope this helps if you need more specifics let me know what and there are several here that own the zd7000. -
I just wonder how faster can the zd7000 be against the dell m60 which has NVIDIA Quadro graphics and faster HD.

Sorry, upon reading your post a few more times. I realize what you were saying you could get in the dell. I haven't seen any reviews and comparrisons between the two graphics cards to be able to tell you how much faster one is over the other.

I personally like the zd7000. I use photshop and forntpage alot on the zd7000 and get beautiful results. I personally like the larger screen wich give you more screen space to work with. Dell's quality has been suspect as of late and if you choose that route make sure you get the extended warrenty.

I checked some of user opinions on this machine at cnet.com and saw that many were complaining about how hot the computer gets and it seem that also a bit quickly, also many were complaining about the fan placement in this computer (bottom). What do you guys think about this issues?

gamesbond,
If you are talking about the zd7000 the heat is a real issue. Whether it is a serious problem is debateable. The intake fan placement on the bottom is a non-issue in my opinion, but the computer blows warm to hot air out the left side continually. I had the zd7000 (3.06 and 128) and I returned it because of heat, lack of resolution and the off-center keyboard. Replaced it with a zv5000z and have none of those problems.
