Bought a refurb unit about 6 months ago. Worked ok till yesterday....power up...you hear the fan whirrr for a second and thats it. Nothing on screen. Best Buy peeps say it sounds like motherboard trouble....minimum $250. Fact that this unit already was a refurb and now trouble again makes me question putting addtil $$ into it. What would you do?

    Thx...Jon B - Plano TX

Today - 2 weeks after this occurred amd after 100's of times of me hitting the power button with no results and 1 week after I bought a replacement computer...the HP responded when I hit the power on button. I cannot believe this. What does this say? It must not be the motherboard?? Or is it?

I am up and running on the HP..fully networked and everything. What does this sound like?
