Hi, I'm looking into buying a new laptop and want to spend no more than $1200. I stumbled onto this site and you guys seem to know your stuff so what do you think of this PC at Bestbuy?

    Link

If you know of any that would be a better choice for me, as an all round family PC and some gaming let me know.

    Thanks in advance guys.

Edit: I also see the ZV6131us at BestBuy too and they seem similar. Link.

You can get basically the the same computer with a 5400RPM hard drive at HPShopping.com for about $950 plus you won't have to pay tax at HPShopping. Plus the 5400RPM hard drive will make it much faster. If you really want to game, the dv4000 with the ATI x700 will beat the pants off of the 200m offered in the zv6000. Seems like a no brainer to offer something better in the zv6000, but they don't. dv4000 goes around $1200 on HPShopping with 1.7Ghz Pentium M, 256MB memory(upgrade after, it is cheaper), 80GB 5400RPM drive, 15.4" BrightView, DVD, WiFi, etc. I'd also recommend the 12 cell battery, but it does add alittle weight. Not really enormored of BestBuy. You have to pay 15% restocking fee and tax unlike HPShopping, but you do get to take your purchase home that day. Good Luck.
