After doing research foir a number of days I decided to purchase an HPzv5330. When I got to Circuit City I found it had been discountinued but they offered to sell me the new 5430 with an AMD 64 processor instead. I could not find much info on this model so any feedback on it would be helpful. Also is the AMD64 better than the P4? Please advise.....

AMD 64 is much better and faster!!! Only thing is that HP zv5....'s with AMD have nVidia graphics, and HP's with P4 come with either ATI shared or dedicated memory. Thus if you don't care about graphic(heavy gaming), get AMD64, but if you do, then look at P4 with dedicated ATI 9700. And DO NOT BUY HP's P4 with shared video :), they waste of money if you compare it to AMD 64 :). This is regarding HP line of notebooks.
