This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HP and new Radeons?

    HP is listed in AMD/ATI's announcement of the mobile Radeon 2400/2600 chips, but I haven't seen anything anywhere about upcoming models which will have it. Google is giving me nothing. Are there any rumors out there, or estimates of when any announcements should come? I'm currently thinking about a couple Toshibas with these, but would rather have an HP. I'm hoping to make a purchase decision in the next month or so, and I'd love to hear anything about HP and these chips that there is to say.

    The HP 8510p has the ATI Radeon HD2600, but sadly I'm not familiar enough with all the new notebooks to think of any others.

    Yeah, the HP 8510p has the 2600, but nothing in HP's line currently has the 2400...
