    Not sure if this is the right area, but are the estimates that HP gives on when your laptop will ship pretty much exact? Says mine will ship next week but I was hoping it might ship sooner.. anyone have any experience :)

    It usually ships sooner than the estimated, and arrives within 2 days after shipping. The estimated ship date is actually pretty much the estimated arrival date.

    I have two orders for two custom build dv5t's. The estimated shipping date was today, November 14th. I received a shipping notification for one laptop yesterday and the second was shipped today. So it appears the custom builds are pretty close to the estimated shipping date...

    I received my laptop 4 days earlier than what was estimated. However last year, I received it 3 days after the estimated delivery date. I believe this was due to the fact that I ordered it closer to the holidays and there were allot more orders during that time period.
