I'm new to the forum, so hey. Actually, I've lurked a bit but this is my first time posting.

So, I received my laptop from HP a couple of days ago and one of the first things I noticed was that the keyboard island is slightly misaligned so that there is a gap between it and the body. Admittedly, it's a very small gap, about 1/32 of an inch wide on the right side tapering to about a hair to the left side. While it's not a gaping hole, it's still noticeable as you can see into the cavity the island sits in and kinda cheapens its look.

Now, I don't want to send it back to HP to have it re-seated since it's minor and they might do more harm than good trying to fix it.

So, is this something I can easily fix on my own without voiding my warranty?

    Thanks,
    johnny
