HP doesn't appear to offer on-site, in-home repair service anymore... other options?

    Greetings:

I went to configure a HP laptop for business and personal use, but was disappointed when there wasn't an option for on-site, in-home repair.

Even the most expensive warranty extension was only drop off / pickup for repairs.

Does anyone know of any warranty alternatives where you could still get a HP laptop, but have onsite service?

If location matters, Lancaster County, US.

    Thank you.

Which particular model are you looking at? There is certainly such option for the customisable 8530p. I just checked.

Hmm weird. Then again I have never payed much attention to the consumer line. And from your previous ''What notebook should I buy?'' thread, I'd look towards the business line. far better build notebooks and excellent warranty.

HP's business line notebooks will always have better support than the consumer lines.

The only take the business notebooks seriously. The consumer support is sometimes referred to as ridiculous.
