    HP dv1000 connection to HDTV?

    Hey guys! I have an old HP Pavilion dv1000 laptop and I recently bought a new HDTV. My problem is that whenever I try and connect my laptop to my tv via VGA, my tv shows "unsupported connectivity" or something like that. Is there something I need to dl for my laptop so I could connect it to an HDTV?
