Hi everybody . it's my first time on a FORUM . I got a very Big Problem !!!

I got the dv1000 customized as best configuration 1600 $

    XP PRO, Centrino 1,7 , 100 gb, 1Gb Ram, DVD-BURNER, Bluetooth , BrightView etc ...

I got for an extra 25 $ the screen WXGA "BrightView" option .

    "BriteView" I didn't know what that means !!! and I still don't .

Does anyone ever order one without this option ???

I guess "BriteView" is this thin-shiny film on the screen that reflects anything behind . it sucks !!!

In my house I have a lots of light during the day and It reflect any kind of light on the screen all day ... If I have friends over to see some picture I have to close all the windows and make dark room otherwise they cannot see a thing !!! even at 20 degrees angel !!

So my question is ... if I order another one without the BriteView . will it be like an old style regular monitor ???

THank You in advance to any of you that can help !!!

P.S. Beside the monitor frustration this laptop it's Amazing for me !!

Matte finish like the standard LCD screens.

I had it with Brightview and didn't notice much glare at all. Unless your house is like Best Buy with 300 Watt light bulbs everywhere you'll be fine.
