    HP dv1000 replacement remote control

    Hello:

    I am looking to by a used HP dv1000 and it is great except the "Modile Remote Control" is missing. I have tried HP Parts and the part number 371694-001 is no longer available. I have also tried Google and EBay and still no luck!

    Does anybody have any suggestions or ideas on how I can get a replacement.

    THe above link is as good as it gets. When I ordered my DV1000 but forget to add in the remote, I could get one unless I returned my current rig and reordered one. The price went up and my configuration was not available any longer. Quite inefficient for them not to have it available. Supposedly the HP Rep said it would be available for purchase in February, NOT! You can try going to a local store and see if someone will sell you one from a returned system. Otherwise, you are out of luck. In that case, you are stuck with the above link as the only alternative.
