    Hi all!
I'm from Italy and I'v just bought the notebook DV2172EA (it should be dv2000t series).
Anyway, the main problem i have is that i want to have a clean copy of Win.
    This what i have:
    - 2 recovery dvd that i created as soon as i switched the laptop on
    - partition HP_RECOVERY
    - Windows XP Professional MCE 2005 installed, without any recovery cd.
    - a backup copy of directory SWSetup

I'd like to create a clean windows cd from what i got, removing all the unuseful pre-installed stuff. Obviously i want everything to be legal, so using my product key (the one from the sticker)....

I know there are already many posts with similar questions but i'm a little confused on which guide should i follow.

    Please let me know..
    thanks

    karush

You need the i386 folder and a special program. Search the forum for it.
