I just got my dv2000t today, a day earlier than expected. Everything seems great (except for all the **** they loaded on there haha), but after being on the laptop for 30 min. or so, the bottom of the laptop became very hot and was a little uncomfortable sitting on my lap. I have a 6 cell battery (I got an extra one too), so maybe it's that, but I thought I heard that the laptop was not that hot. Just wondering what everybody else is experiencing...

I was working with my laptop (dv2000t) in my lap most of yesterday and I didn't have a problem with the heat. It was warm, but definately not hot. It was a great deal cooler than old Averatec 3150. Be careful not too block the fan cause that may make a difference.

I've had a dv2000t for a couple days and the only area that ever got warm was to the left of the touchpad (hard drive??). Much much cooler than an old Dell I had from work. I have a 12 cell battery so it raises the back of the laptop and probably provides better airflow to the bottom vent.

All the heat is coming out of the bottom of that laptop. Because the fan is blowing all the heat out to cool the rest of your laptop. It should be normal because that's what happens to my DV4000.
