    HP dv2415 cd/dvd drive problem

    hey everyone, i bought a hp dv2415 from my local CompUSA about a month ago and im already having a problem with it. the computer is not recognizing the cd/dvd drive at all whatsoever. when i open my computer, its not there. it used to work but it no longer is. has anyone else experienced anything like this? any input or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

    Is it showing up under device manager, or is there with a big yellow "!" ?

    under device manager, i go to disk drives, and it shows a hitachi drive, but when i researched it under yahoo, it said that the hitachi drive was actually the hard drive. maybe i need to install a driver for the disk drive? anyone know what the make and model of the cd/dvd drive is?
