Hi there. My friend downgraded my hp2928se from vista to xp because of all the problems it was giving me. However, now the wireless card isn't being detected. I'm guessing its the driver but I've installed the broadcom driver but its not working. Has anyone has this problem before? Any help would be appreciated seeing as how I don't have a copy of vista to go back to :( thx

Could be the NVIDIA northbridge chip starting to fail. Wireless disappearing is an early warning sign. If you don't see the wireless card in Device Manager or at least an otherwise unexplained yellow question mark that'd be my first guess.
