I have HP dv4030us laptop which is **** slow. I am pasting the mainboard specs collected through Everest since HP support won't tell me those details:

I noticed that it can support DD2-533 SDRAM. Does it ? I am not sure about the voltage support though - which is 1.8 v from the present DDR 2.5 v ?

Is anybody using DD2-533 on this line of machines ?
    thanks !

Your notebook is compatible only with DDR-SDRAM (2.5V) as those are the currently installed modules. DDR2 modules are incompatible.

DDR-533 modules are not available, DDR-400 (PC-3200) is the max.

I think the 915GM chipset cannot support more than 2GB, so you should consider upgrading to 2GB DDR-333/400.

You currently have PC-2700 (DDR-333), so if you install PC-3200 (DDR-400), it might downclock to DDR-333.
