I was wondering, does anyone here have the dv4t with LED screen?

Is the display similar to the Inifinity where there's glass over it?

Could you please post some pictures? Thanks.

The LED backlight and the infinity are two different areas of the screen.

The LED backlight has to do with how bright the screen is and colour reproduction. This is used with the normal glossy screen.

The Infinity screen is another layer of plastic on top of the normal glossy screen. The Infinity screen does not come with the LED backlight.

There was a post here comparing the normal glare from a glossy dv4t (or dv-something) and an Infinity. Just take a look at it.

I haven't seen the LED offered on the dv4t, but as a rule they're superior to LCD displays in every way. An LED is lighter and thinner than a comparable LCD display and it will use less energy/battery. The overall image quality is superior as well.

If your budget allows, the LED option is a great choice compared to an LCD. I definitely would choose the LED over the regular or Infinity LCD!

Has anyone heard rumors about when HP will have 15.4" with LED? I talked to two people today at HP online store and they had no info for me.

I have the LED screen on my dv4z and it's simply stunning. It gets way brighter than my old HP nc8430 screen and colors/contrast are great. Viewing angles are pretty good too. Reflections due to the glossy screen are bad at the lower brightness settings but not very noticeable at the highest setting.

I haven't compared it to the regular screen on the dv4 but I wouldn't hesitate to order the LED screen again. It's just overall a great screen.

hey guys! I just got my dv4t today. I ordered it with the LED backlit display, but how can I check in the system properties to verify this is what I actually got? I just want to be sure HP didn't f up and give me the normal LCD...

any help would be great, Merry Christmas!

^ if your display looks awesome, that means you got it! ;-D

    lol

no srsly, the led screen on my dv4t is absolutely gorgeous. i have an insanely crazy dv7t and the 1 option i wish HP gave me when i ordered this thing was the LED screen. pictures looks so incredibly crisp and sharp on it. i have never seen a screen this nice on a laptop.

lenovo's have bright screens but they are painfully bright. they hurt your eyes even when you turn them down a notch. the hp led screen for the dv4t is absolutely perfect.
