Every couple of starts my new dv4t shows muted up on the shortcut bar over the keyboard, but the rest of the computer shows that its not muted. No matter what I do, I cannot unmute it without a restart. I can click on the mute shortcut and see it mute and unmute in the bottom right corner on windows, but it stays mute and shows the orange mute indiction up above the keyboard.
Anyone else have this problem and find a solution?
EDIT: Finally found some solutions in search...however this forum doesnt seem to allow user thread deletion![]()

Disable Defence+ on Comodo Firewall.
Defence+ > Advanced > Defence+ Settings > permanently disable Defence+(requires restart)
the Mute button turns white/orange again for me when I found out it was Comodo's fault -
Arrrgh, my search was unsuccessful: could someone provide solution linky?
Tx in advance.
UPDATE: nvm, my problem solved via above mentioned suggestion of reinstalling IDT audio driver, tx -
